Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actress and singer whose acting variety earned her acclaim across many genres ranging from period drama to thrillers and action. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an father, an architect, and mother who produced. Her twin brother Hunter and she were among the youngest of siblings. When she was a kid she was able to begin acting. In fact, by 7 years old She had auditioned for several commercials. Then she began her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan for further training in her craft. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she acted alongside Ethan Hawke. She then had her first appearance in a film with North (1994) and was produced by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson starred next in Just Cause (1995), prior to her breakthrough by starring in Manny & Lo - a story about two sisters, orphans who get away. Then, she was awarded the praise of critics for playing an teen girl who been injured and left her damaged as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). Her popularity grew with the film Ghost World (2002) as the cynical outcast Rebecca. She gained fame for her character of Nell Jones on the CBS popular show NCIS Los Angeles. She is among the main characters. In addition to appearing in the show, she is also an accomplished stage actress. She performed with stunning grace in Wildflower and in other productions. Renee Felice Smith was a teenager when she first began her entertainment career. When she was a kid she was captivated by acting. Smith landed the first of her acting gigs in the age of 6. In a television commercial Smith starred as Dannon Yogurt. As with many actresses who started out, she decided to perfect her craft in the world of theatre. As she worked on other productions in the USA she also made her debut on stage in Wildflower. She studied at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory part of the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts'.
